bedsore prevention mattresses

Current mattresses have horizontal one layer air tube structure (some waive shape, but also one layer).
They work a bit - helping to release some body pressure, but I think the mattress which could lean the patient more on his side will work much better.  To make it we should just add some more air cushions on top of each other. When you need to lean - you pump the one side only.

Aircraft belts

With airplane crash most people die and no belts could help. The idea was if we have longer belt path we could reduce the g-force. Anyway, it could be useful for slower vehicles.

My calculation of the speed and g: 

1 there is a difference in g-force direction a human can survive. From 3g in negative to 10g front impact.

With the formulas V=a*t and S=(g*t^2)/2
If we have to stop with 50g from initial 900 km/h (250 m/s) you need 5 seconds and 625m. 

If we hope the pilots would able to reduce the speed to take off level (~200km/h) it is still 1.1 sec and 31m.

So the idea could only help in case the plane may drag on surface for a few seconds - which is likely. 



Here we have airbags - they could be inflated before the impact (assume we have 40 sec to fasten the special belt).  The belts are X shape like in speed cars and have different length. Both of them expand slowly with precise acceleration (mechanism could be in the chair). The orange will release slower and not as far away - working as turning point. The pink one would go further and be softer (like the new car belt type -  inflatable itself). The front could have shape to help lift the passenger. The bottom bag could be piston inflated (on 2nd stage) also to lift the person.  The overall safety effect due to distance.

waving wing

Far fetched idea, just for discussion - Waving wing plane or dirigible.

Hypothesis: it might be more efficient to push the plane by waving wings than propeller / jet.
Take the fish for instance, they don't fly in water; snaking movement don't create water cavity = no or minimum drug. Using the amplitude and frequency for speed adaptation. Such a construction could become not efficient with high speed....

To my surprise, big companies like Amazon and now Google concentrated on developing drones in important but much more complicated in terms of safety and regulations - parcel delivery market.
In my opinion it is a good way to find the social acceptance performing the more complex tasks in controllable area - synchronized weight lifting. From cell phone equipment to firefighting - barricade your working zone, insure your load and amaze the audience, prepare the public opinion (like we have now with self driving cars).
The swarms take place to overcome the individual low capacity. I personally think the hawser connected,  parachute like swarm structure being more complex is much more agile:


The light rigid interconnected frame is also a good approach

Swimming pool rescue belt and other common services proposals

Thinking of short service time for public swimming pool, public libraries (some close at 7 pm) I am surprised why there is still no "as is" service. It is very easy to sign some irresponsible access agreement for special members who passed the check in exam (good swimmer, proved social loyalty or paid extra insurance). 

As we speak about swimming safety itself, I believe it is not very hard to construct the cable safe guard system above the swimming pool. Like the belt controlled x-y axis in 3d printers it is possible to direct the cable and release it down. 4 or more corner located microphones with computer analyzing location with the precise timing will guide the step-motors to bring the save belt to the patient.   
Moreover, we may still have extra cameras which will show the swimming room to the virtual security operator.

All body motorcyclist airbag


Recently I have been reminded how deadly it is to ride a motorcycle. To prevent the lethal end it is often enough to have a cushion around main or all the body parts. Why don't we have it yet?

So far so good. Here are my 2 cents: 
The deadly stroke often occurs after the initial impact (to another vehicle, pole...). So to reduce the starting speed (and fly distance) some smart strapping could be used. Like we have in the contraction expansion harness (which will tear apart under calculated force).
or better -  computer controlled soft/hard tension release of the strap (with all the available accelerometers, ultrasound distance detectors it is easy see were the rider fly and if not safe - use the bike inertia).

Toilet fan

Now the idea that toilet fans at the top of the sealing are great only for noise shadowing found the conformation.  In this product we can see the solution attempt by moving fan to the toilet itself.

All the possible installment on the top of the ceramic could be quite hard to clean up properly (imagine public toilets), and with something left the smell could stay... 
However, I have a better proposal - to use the water flushing channels itself when they are not in use. You may split the water to ventilation in ceramic in throat like system 1, in the special gasket 2 or in water tank itself 3: 
To prevent water in ventilation - the fan could be switched off when flush button is on or the air shaft could be vertical and wide enough to compensate the suction effect.

Directional LED Light Pole

With all the LED lams available we still do not use their narrow direction benefits.
The LED pole with adjustable diode direction light or range of preset profiles (for curve road, right / location)  it is possible to cover more distance with better lightning.
